Sheriff's Detectives Arrest Buellton Man for Sex Offenses
Buellton - September 29th, 2011
Santa Barbara Sheriff’s detectives have arrested a 20-year old Buellton man for multiple sex related offenses following an investigation into the man’s illicit relationship with a teenage girl.
The Sheriff’s Office was first alerted to a potential crime on Monday, August 29, 2011. An investigation over the past month, revealed that Christopher Ty Ash-Lasaca (DOB 7/4/91) and the teenage victim had had an ongoing sexual relationship over the last summer.
On Wednesday, September 28, 2011, Ash-Lasaca arrived at the Buellton Sheriff’s substation where he turned himself in. He was booked into the Santa Barbara County Jail later that afternoon where he’s currently being held on $100,000 bail. Ash-Lasaca was booked on several felony counts including rape by force, (261(a)(2) PC), unlawful sex with a minor (261.5(c) PC), and other sex related offenses (289(h) PC, 288a(b)(1) PC).
Sheriff’s detectives also learned that Ash-Lasaca met the victim through mutual acquaintances, but he had lured his victim by communicating via Facebook and his cell phone. This has led to several more charges including sending harmful material to seduce a minor (288.2(a) PC), possession of child porn (311.11(a) PC), communication with minor with intent to commit a sex offense (288.3(a) PC), arrangement of meeting with minor for purpose of lewd conduct (288.4(a)(1) PC & 288.4(b) PC).
Sheriff’s detectives are actively seeking any other females who may have been victimized by Ash-Lasaca who has worked as a disc jockey throughout Santa Barbara County under the moniker “DJ Bonez.” Anyone with information that is encouraged to call Santa Barbara
