Drug Arrest

Santa Barbara - December 8th, 2011

A Santa Barbara man was booked into jail on several drug offenses after being arrested today while working at his job as a computer systems technician for the Santa Barbara Sheriff’s Office.

Olaf Douwe Wierda (DOB 3/15/70) was found to be under the influence and was taken into custody shortly after 1:00pm on Thursday, December 8, 2011, at the Sheriff’s Headquarters on the 4400 block of Calle Real in the Santa Barbara area.

Wierda, was booked into the Santa Barbara County Jail on $10,000 bail for being under the influence of a controlled substance (11550) Health & Safety Code), possession of a controlled substance (11377(A) H&S), and possession of controlled substance paraphernalia (11364 H&S).
