Law Enforcement Sweep Nets 14 Arrests

Santa Maria - December 20th, 2011

Due to recent increases in violence and narcotics related incidents, the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics and Gang units, assisted by State Parole and the Santa Maria Police Department, conducted gang/narcotic suppression throughout the Santa Maria Valley last week.

Throughout the two day period (December 15-16, 2011), a total of (14) suspects were arrested and booked into Lompoc and Santa Maria jails for felony violations. Numerous other subjects were issued citations for miscellaneous misdemeanor and infraction violations.

The following is a synopsis of the suspects taken into custody:

Arturo Renteria (DOB 7-11-80) and Krisanna Parke (DOB 5-19-77) both of Santa Maria and both for charges of 11379 H&S – Sales of methamphetamine, 182 P.C. – Conspiracy, 4573 P.C. – Bring narcotics into jail facility. Renteria’s bail is $25,000. Parke’s bail is $30,000.

Gregory Flores (DOB 9-10-68) of Orcutt and Lenora Ontiveros (DOB 6-12-73) of Santa Maria. Flores was arrested for a felony warrant, 11377 H&S – Possession of methamphetamine and 148.9 P.C. – False identity to a peace officer. Ontiveros was arrested for violation of 11550(a) H&S – Under the influence of a controlled substance. Flores is being held without bail; Ontiveros’ bail is $2,500.

Jose Rodriguez (DOB 11-2-73) of Santa Maria was arrested for violations of 11377 H&S – Possession of methamphetamine, 11364 H&S – Possession of drug paraphernalia, 3056 P.C. – Violation of parole, 1203.2 P.C. – Violation of probation. Held without bail.

Gabriel Guzman (DOB 3-8-93) of Santa Maria was arrested for violation of 12020 P.C. – Possession of deadly weapon and 1203.2 P.C. – Violation of probation. Booked into Lompoc Jail.

Christopher Garcia (DOB 11-30-90) of Santa Maria was arrested for an outstanding warrant. Cite released.

Richard Lara (DOB 2-6-81) of Santa Maria was arrested for violations of 11359 H&S – Possession of marijuana for sales and 3056 P.C. – Violation of parole. $2,500 bail

Octavio Guzman (DOB 8-25-69) of Santa Maria was arrested for violations of 11377 H&S – Possession of methamphetamine and 11364 H&S – Possession of drug paraphernalia. Held without bail.

Jaime Madrigal (DOB 1-24-79) of Santa Maria was arrested for violation of 273a(b) P.C. – Child endangerment, 11350 H&S – Possession of controlled substance, 11550(a) H&S – Under the influence of a controlled substance, 11364 H&S – Possession of drug paraphernalia, 148(a)(1) P.C. – Resisting/Obstructing a peace officer. Held without bail.

Kurtis Schultz (DOB 7-4-81) of Orcutt was arrested for violations of 11377 H&S – Possession of methamphetamine and 11364 H&S – Possession of drug paraphernalia. $10,000 bail.

Giselle Ponce (DOB 8-9-93) of Santa Maria was arrested for violation of 11377 H&S – Possession of methamphetamine, 1203.2 P.C. – Violation of probation/electronic monitoring. $10,000 bail.

Michael James (DOB 7-12-84) of Orcutt was arrested for violations of 11377 H&S – Possession of methamphetamine and 11364 H&S – Possession of drug paraphernalia. Booked into Lompoc Jail.

Frank Souza (DOB 3-2-72) of Santa Maria was arrested for violations of 11550(a) H&S – Under the influence of a controlled substance and 243(e)(1) P.C. – Domestic Violence. $10,000 bail.
