Lone Gunman Robs Goleta Bank
Goleta - May 21st, 2010
Members of the Santa Barbara Sheriff’s Department and Goleta Police Department are searching for a lone gunman following a robbery at a bank on North Fairview in the city of Goleta.
Shortly after 10:00 AM this morning the suspect who is described as a White Male, in his mid-thirties, 6’-03”, 220 pounds with a goatee entered the bank located in the 100 block of North Fairview. He is described as wearing a dark colored hat, tan jacket, dark colored shirt and jeans. He handed a teller a note demanding cash claiming to have a hand gun, though none was seen.
He then exited the bank and was last seen leaving the area of the bank on foot. The Sheriff’s Department and Goleta Police Department deployed in excess of a dozen personnel in an attempt to identify and apprehend the suspect. There is no vehicle description and there is no estimate as to the value of the loss.
