Sheriff's Detectives Arrest Man for Lewd Acts

Two Victims Identified; SBSO Looks for Other Victims

Santa Ynez - August 16th, 2010

A Santa Ynez man is facing three felony charges after a Sheriff’s investigation linked him to lewd acts involving two pre-teen girls.

On Saturday, August, 7, 2010, the Santa Barbara Sheriff’s office received a report that 22-year old Alejandro (Alex) Robles had molested a 12-year old girl and 11-year old in May, 2010. 2010. The investigation revealed that Robles also committed questionable acts with the 12-year old victim on several occasions over the last three years. Robles was dating a relative of the victims at the time of the incidents. All the crimes are believed to have taken place in the Santa Ynez Valley.

The investigation also identified a potential third female who may have been victimized three years ago. Sheriff’s detectives are asking the public’s help in locating any other possible victims or if someone has any other information about this case. Alejandro Robles was booked into the Santa Barbara County Jail on Wednesday, August 11, 2010 for felony Lewd Acts with a child under 14 (288(A) PC), felony False Imprisonment (236 PC), felony Dissuading a Witness (136.1(C) PC), and misdemeanor Sexual Battery (243.4(A) PC). Robles posted $100,000 bail on Thursday, August 12, 2010.
